A Day in the Life at PuppyLove Dachshunds

Where wagging tails, muddy boots, and heartfelt moments are just part of the daily rhythm.

Life at PuppyLove is full of joy, a little bit of bustle, and a whole lot of love. Tucked away in the peaceful countryside of Goshen Indiana, our days are shaped by sunshine, farm chores, and the happy sounds of little paws chasing each other through the grass.

We’re the Ramers Caleb and Kathleen, and we’re raising our family here on our farm, along with our four sweet daughters: Jenna, Natalie, Mary Kate, and Ella Grace. Between loving God, school days, tending to our animals, and loving on our dachshunds, no two days are ever quite the same. And honestly, we wouldn’t want it any other way.

Our farm is home to a colorful crew, ponies, donkeys, horses, chickens, and of course, our beloved dachshunds. These little long dogs are much more than pets to us. They are part of our family. Whether they’re sunbathing on the porch, trotting beside us as we feed the animals, or curling up with the girls for story time, they’re always close by and always bringing a smile.

My love for dachshunds started when I was just eleven years old. My dad helped me adopt my very first, a spunky little red girl who quickly became my best friend. We grew up together on my childhood farm, and even now, all these years later, I still can’t imagine life without a dachshund (or several!) by my side.

There’s something so special about this breed, loyal, funny, curious, and incredibly loving. They might be “half a dog high and a dog and a half long,” but their hearts are huge and their personalities even bigger. Watching our girls grow up surrounded by animals, especially these sweet pups, is one of the greatest blessings of our life.

Every dachshund puppy born here at PuppyLove is raised with hands-on care, lots of snuggles, and all the love we can give. They’re well-socialized with children, other animals, and the natural rhythm of farm life. We believe in doing things the right way, with prayer, purpose, and a whole lot of heart.

Our greatest joy is helping families find their perfect puppy match.
